<p>Well, it turns out the same is true for weeds, and <a title="Monsanto thought weeds would never resist, from NPR" href="http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2012/03/11/148290731/why-monsanto-thought-weeds-would-never-defeat-roundup?sc=tw" target="_blank">Monsanto is surprised by resistent strains of weeds</a>.</p>

<p>My favorite quote from this article was actually this one:</p>

<p>Again, ignore the word &#8216;violence&#8217; in that quote, and focus on the word &#8216;processes&#8217;. Pretty much all mass-market food production now is a process, not farming.</p>
